1 Peter 4: 10 Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.
Grace House has been blessed with a large group of supporters who help us to deliver a marvellous caring home for our residents. Supporters usually join our regular services; spend time with our residents at mealtimes; or just bring whatever gift they have been blessed with to enhance the lives of our residents. We run a regular newsletter to keep our supporters up to date with news from Grace House.
The Trust’s policy is to provide a higher standard of personal care and meals, than is provided in commercial care homes, in order to make life more interesting & enjoyable for residents in their declining years. This has been shown to be effective in prolonging the life of residents, despite severe disabilities. We also take efforts to ensure our building and garden are a pleasant, safe and stimulating environment for our residents. We maintain more favourable ratio of staff to residents, particularly during waking hours, to ensure that residents are not left alone for significant periods of time. Our fees are charged on a variable basis depending on the level of care required, and the financial capacity of the resident. We also have a policy of continuing to care for residents even if they are having financial difficulties, to the extent in some cases of fully funding residents in the event their assets are not liquid. We maintain reserves for this eventuality.
Together, this all means that we welcome donations from supporters. As a charity, contributions are, of course, Gift Aid-able. If you would like to contribute to our mission, please get in touch so we can discuss more.
